Using choices for
Recognize the behavior:
Drops your phone.
Identify what you want to see:
Carefully holding your phone.
Use the Skill:
Give choices for how to use the phone. For example, “You have two choices: you can hold my phone carefully, or I can hold it for you.”

Purpose:

Choices give children a sense of control in situations. Let your child decide how they are going to be careful. Sometimes the choice has to be either doing it themselves or having you do it for them.
Remember that choices are most helpful when you also use the other PC-CARE skills.
