Try to use skills like redirect and when-then statements. Then give lots of positive attention for being careful with the phone.

Strategic attention lets your child know what you like. Your child might lose attention or become careless. This is often not intentional. Try to avoid pointing out what they did wrong. Instead, redirect them to the task and give lots of positive attention for being careful.
Remember that strategic attention is most helpful when you also use the other PC-CARE skills.
