Use the Skill:
If you use a command, you can use recovery. Praise your child for listening, practice calming skills, and find something fun to do together.

Purpose:

Recovery helps you and your child stay calm and build a strong relationship. You may need to use commands and consequences to help your child learn to listen quickly. In this case, use recovery to prevent a behavior you don't want or repair after it happens.
Remember that recovery is most helpful when you also use the other PC-CARE skills.
