Strategic attention lets your child know what you like without punishment. You will need to make a choice whether to use strategic attention or to use rules or commands for mealtime troubles. If you choose to use rules or commands, you should not ignore the behavior. Strategic attention can be used with modeling and redirect to help children focus on mealtime.
Remember that strategic attention is most helpful when you also use the other PC-CARE skills.
