Try to ignore grumbling or talk of giving up. Describe whatever they do on the task, and praise when they try again or stay calm.

Purpose:
It is good for children to be frustrated sometimes. Try not to fix your child's mistakes right away. Instead, calmly sit with them and give them space to feel upset and to try to calm down. Praise when they ask for help or calm down and try again.
