Using redirect for
Recognize the behavior:
Takes too long to get dressed.
Identify what you want to see:
Picking out clothes quickly.
Use the Skill:
Stay with your child. If they get distracted, redirect them to getting dressed. For example, “You’re so close. Just your pants to go.”

Redirecting helps your child focus on what you want them to do.
Remember that redirect is most helpful when you also use the other PC-CARE skills.
