Use the Skill:
Try to make reading fun. You can even model taking a break from reading to stretch or move so you can focus better.

Purpose:

Modeling shows your child how to make good choices. Teach your child how to do things that are hard for them by modeling how you do it. Model taking breaks. This teaches your child that breaks are ok and can help when they get distracted.
Remember that modeling is most helpful when you also use the other PC-CARE skills.
