Use the skill:
Imitate whenever your child faces a fear. For example, your child might be afraid of dogs but says they want to pet a cute dog at the park. Imitate by petting the dog with them.

Purpose:
You know what makes you child nervous or afraid. If your child wants to be brave and try anyway, imitate by doing it with them. This gives your child support and encouragement.
