Use the Skill:
You might need to pick up a very young child and carry them away from a friend’s house. Remember to use calming skills and strategic attention if this happens.

Hand-over-hand helps young children learn how to complete a task. Sometimes young children need you to pick them up or physically move their hands to help them listen. Use this as a learning moment, not as punishment.
Remember that hand-over-hand is most helpful when you also use the other PC-CARE skills.
