Using adjust the environment for
Recognize the behavior:
Refuses to leave a friend’s house when it’s time to go home.
Identify what you want to see:
Saying goodbye and leaving the house.
Use the Skill:
One idea is to check how many toys are out 15 minutes before you leave. Help put extra toys away so that clean up is easier when it is time to leave.

Adjusting the environment makes it easier for children to do what they're supposed to do. Think about what is making it difficult for your child to listen. Then, see if you can change things to make it easier.
Remember that adjusting the environment is most helpful when you also use the other PC-CARE skills.
