Use a redo to keep yourself calm and confident. For example, “Oops, you forgot to take your shoes off. When you come back and take off your shoes, then we can go play.”

Purpose:
Disciplining all the time is stressful. This is especially true when you know your child just made a mistake. A redo lets you remain in charge and keep boundaries without having to use punishment.
