Using recovery for
Recognize the behavior:
Repeatedly calls your name and pulls on your arm while you are talking to an adult.
Identify what you want to see:
Staying quiet while you finish talking.
Use the Skill:
Make sure to give lots of positive attention to your child when you are done talking.

Purpose:

Recovery helps you and your child stay calm and build a strong relationship. Waiting patiently can be very hard for children. You can help your child by giving lots of positive attention after they do something hard like wait their turn.
Remember that recovery is most helpful when you also use the other PC-CARE skills.
