Using modeling for
Recognize the behavior:
Repeatedly calls your name and pulls on your arm while you are talking to an adult.
Identify what you want to see:
Staying quiet while you finish talking.
Use the Skill:
At other times, let your child finish before you speak. If your child is speaking to someone, wait until they are done before speaking.

Purpose:

Modeling shows your child how to make good choices. Teach your child how to do things that are hard for them by modeling how you do it. Notice if you or other adults in the house also tend to interrupt others. Then, try to model what you want your child to do.
Remember that modeling is most helpful when you also use the other PC-CARE skills.
