You can give lots of choices: which book to read, whether they want to read or have you read, or whether to take turns reading each page or each paragraph.

Purpose:

Choices give children a sense of control in situations. You can use choices to help a child get interested in something when it is hard to focus.
Remember that choices are most helpful when you also use the other PC-CARE skills.
