Recovery helps you and your child stay calm and build a strong relationship. Your child might be defiant but listen after a consequence. After that, you can focus on using PRIDE skills for what your child did well. This helps to repair the relationship.
Remember that recovery is most helpful when you also use the other PC-CARE skills.
