Using adjust the environment for
Recognize the behavior:
Hits or bites a sibling who took their toy.
Identify what you want to see:
Staying calm and asking for help when the sibling takes the toy.
Use the Skill:
You could move your children further apart when they play. Or, sit between them while they play. Or, have two of the same toy.

Purpose:

Adjusting the environment makes it easier for children to do what they're supposed to do. Think about what is making it difficult for your child to stay calm and play nicely with others. Then, see if you can change things to make it easier.
Remember that adjusting the environment is most helpful when you also use the other PC-CARE skills.
