Using a redo for
Recognize the behavior:
Gets out of chair repeatedly.
Identify what you want to see:
Staying in the chair.
Use the Skill:
You could say, “Oops, you got out of your seat. This is your redo to sit back down and stay at the table.” Help your child sit back down, then give attention for staying seated.

Purpose:

A redo gives children a chance to do something again in a better way. A redo at the table helps your child remember what you want them to do. It also helps you keep mealtime fun and enjoyable.
Remember that a redo is most helpful when you also use the other PC-CARE skills.
