Identify what you want to see:
Picking out clothes quickly.
Use the Skill:
Let your child know what comes after getting dressed. For example, “When you finish getting dressed, you can play until we leave.”

Purpose:

When-then & if-then statements show children what will happen when they make certain choices. Remind your child about the fun things that will happen when they finish tasks. This will help them want to move more quickly.
Remember that when-then & if-then statements are most helpful when you also use the other PC-CARE skills.
