What does "Social Problems" mean?
- Having difficulty with relationships, poor boundaries, or trouble making friends. There are lots of reasons for social problems. Trauma can make children feel uncomfortable with other people. Depending on their trauma, they might have learned problematic ways of interacting with people.
In children aged 2-5 years
- Behaving aggressively towards others
- Disregarding others’ feelings when trying to get something they want
- Being very clingy with others
- Seeking attention from teachers, peers, or parents
- Not having many friends
In children aged 6-10 years
- Behaving aggressively or rudely towards others
- Seeming withdrawn or unsocial around peers
- Seeking attention or being overly friendly with teachers, peers, or parents
- Getting into frequent arguments
- Bullying or being bullied
- Not having many friends
