Using imitation for

Use the Skill:
If your child points to something in the book, you can also point. If your child sits in your lap, you can hug them.

Purpose:

Imitation shows you notice your child's good behaviors. This makes your child want to keep doing what they're doing. In this situation, imitation helps your child focus and enjoy what they are doing.
Remember that imitation is most helpful when you also use the other PC-CARE skills.
