Using imitation for
Recognize the behavior:
Takes too long to get dressed.
Identify what you want to see:
Picking out clothes quickly.
Use the Skill:
Depending on your morning routine, you can plan to get dressed at the same time as your child. You could say, “I’m going to go get dressed too.”

Purpose:

Imitation shows you notice your child's good behaviors. This makes your child want to keep doing what they're doing. Imitating your child's behavior will keep them on task and reduce stalling.
Remember that imitation is most helpful when you also use the other PC-CARE skills.
